I had a good Birthday. Pictures are coming.

Right Now I am sitting on my back porch with Kaden and enjoying the weather and my laptop.

Did somebody punch me in the mouth?

Since yesterday afternoon I have felt like someone punched me in the mouth. The first few days after the procedure I didn't really feel any pain at all. The vicoden is helping a little but I only have 3 left.

Today is my Birthday. Ya me.

Birthday

You know you have had a busy few days when you don't realize it's your Birthday tomorrow.

My Brother-n-law and Sister-in-law came for a visit this weekend.. So much fun.

When they were leaving they said have a great Birthday tomorrow. I thought I had a few more days.

So tomorrow is my Birthday... Happy Birthday to me.

Update: Karson is doing well with the bottle..

Hungry

When I had Karson I just planned on doing the same things as I did for Kaden. Kaden was a very good eater. From the start I nursed him and also supplimented bottles. Kaden was fine with both and at 6 months I stoped nursing all together. When Karson was born I had all the bottles sterilized and ready, but Karson came out a natural nurser.

I am not against bottle feeding at all. Karson had trouble from the start. He couldn't keep formula down and at two weeks would not take a bottle at all. I have been trying about once a week to feed him a bottle but decided to be a full-time nursing Mom. It has been very easy for me. Karsee is laid back and now has a predictable schedule. If I am going anywhere I just nurse him before we leave and he goes about 4 hours between feedings.

Yesterday after my dental procedure I just didn't feel right about feeding Karsee till I talked to his doctor about the three medicines I am taking. I am glad I went with that feeling because after speeking with his doctor I found out 2 out of the 3 medicines were not safe. I cannot nurse for 5 days.

So here is the plan. Try feeding Karson an ounce every hour in a bottle and pump every 3-4 hours.

For about 6 hours yesterday I tried every bottle we own. He would cry a little and then give up and go to sleep. At around 7pm it had been 11 hours since he last ate and Tim came in and just tried with me out of sight and he started eating and gulped down about 4oz. I finally felt that everything would be ok and my baby will not starve for 5 days.

Then 10pm rolled around and he was tired and hungry and did not understand why all this was going on. He cried and cried till he gave up and went to sleep. He ate a little last night but didn't rest well. Also the getting up and makeing a bottle is not something I am used to doing.

So this morning he is finally resting and we are close to getting this bottle feeding thing down.

Feeling Good

I just got home. I am numb up to my eye balls.I am starting to feel some tingle. I am taking some vicodin, putting the boys to sleep and getting some rest

The Dentist

I am going to the dentist this morning and the nerves have hit. I do not want to go.

I hate my mouth being propt open and the shots.

I just keep telling myself it is only 2 hours. But it is not helping.

I should not of watched the video on youtube of what I am getting done.

Doctor's Office and Tomorrow

This morning we had Karsee's four month check up. That's when I got the news that the little rash I have been treating with desitin is a yeast infection. The Doctor said this is very common and was caused by the medicine Karson took for his ear infection. Karson also had his vaccinations. Three shots and a roto virus vaccine by mouth. Owe what fun.

Karson did well with the shots. Once he ate he calmed down and we left. He slept all afternoon. About 5:30pm I woke him up to eat before we left to meet Tim for dinner and Church. He felt very hot and was really fussy.

When I took his temperature it was 102.

After a few hours of worrying and getting the fever down I called the doctor. I was told this happens to babies sometimes and what to watch for.

When I was on the phone I realized I may have over done it this week. Because tomorrow I am going in for a dental procedure in the morning.

I am getting everything ready tonight for tomorrow morning but I am feeling bad about leaving Karsee tomorrow when he feels so bad.

So Proud

Today Kaden had his first Starbucks. Don't worry everyone it wasn't caffeinated. He walked up to the counter and asked if he could have a pink drink. Which means a strawberries and cream frappe. They asked him his name and wrote it on the cup. When they called his name when it was ready the look on his face was priceless.

I am getting ready to feed Karsee cereal for the first time tonight. I put him in the highchair for the first time.

Movie Night

Last night we had movie night. Kaden and I went to Hastings yesterday which is a book/movie/rental store all in one. He spent an hour just in the childrens area looking at books at there table and then he picked out a movie.

When we got home we made cookies, popped popcorn. We also made a pallet on the floor. Which Kaden calls a camp out.

Kaden loved it.

After four months I can say Karsons room is finished. I finished his shelf this week.

Some Of My Favorite Things

In the midst of mothering and the business of life I like to think about some of my favorite things about my boys.

Kaden
1. Every hug and a kiss.

2. He says " your my favorite Mommy in the whole wide world".

3. His dances and songs.

4. I like to watch him sleep.

5. The way he says Chick-fil-a. " Chick-da-fay"

6. His answer to my question " Where does Jesus live"? He answers "in my heart".

7. His laugh.

8. When he wakes up from a nap the first thing he says is " I had a good nap".

9. The love he has for his Daddy. He wants to be just like him.

10. His excitement ...


Karson
1. When he catches me in his sight and gives me the biggest smile.

2. The love he has for Kaden even at such a young age.

3. His love for his beary. He actually gives him a hug and smiles every time he sees his little bear.

4. The way he holds on to something when he sleeps.

5. When he lets me rock him to sleep.

6. When he is really tired and pokes his lip out and just looks at me till he doses off.

7. His laugh

8. The way he sleeps.

9. The way he sits right by Tim and watches what ever his Daddy is doing. He is happy just to be there with him.
