Referee or Mommy

I was wore out by the time Tim got home yesterday. I think I called him at 5 and asked him why he was so late. Sorry Tim.

Karson is feeling much better but my boys are fighting over stuff. Its not all Kaden and its not all Karson. Karson wants everything Kaden has exspecially food. I gave Kaden a juice box yesterday and Karson crawled over and tried to pry it out of Kadens hand and when I went to get him he threw himself on the floor and cried and cried. I went to the kitchen and got him one and thought I would help him with it and when I tried to give it to him he wanted to do it himself and we ended up with a puddle of apple juice on the floor. After that I just put it in a sippy cup and gave it to him. He was not happy about it but came around to it after a few minutes.

Last night Karsons little people set came in and I opened it for them to play with. Kaden kept taking things away from Karson.

Karson also realized that the Christmas presents under the tree were fun to play with yesterday. I was on damage control most of the day.

This is a new stage of Motherhood for me and I am trying to handle it well but I always feel like I am picking on one of them.Karson is very tender hearted and if he even hears no he barres his head and cries and Kaden is a little stronger and gets a little rough sometimes. I also thought I had a little more time like when Karson is two before I had to tackle these things.

  1. Amy,

This was one of the hardest things for me to deal with as Luke got older. With us it is still a constant battle. I think just being consistent and remembering that they will not be that age forever will help. I think boys are so competitive too. Even when they are young!

  2. It will be okay. You are a great mom, and you know your children better that anyone. Just do the best you can, and don't feel mean if you have to discipline.

    Love you guys,

    Katherine

  3. I won't lie to you, the fighting gets worse before it gets better. The arguments will be easier to deal with when Karsen learns some words to use. Then he can tell you what he needs, and it will be much less stressful.

You and Tim are good parents, and you have good kids. When I need a break, we put on cartoons and I grab a cup of coffee.

  4. You are the great mom and wife! You are patient and loving to the boys. Enjoy those days when you are stretched to your max, (that's easy for me to say).
