Good Find Friday Almost Saturday- Finger Foods To-Go

Today's good find is something my Sister-in-law Ronnin introduced me to. These handy little things come in a four pack and are great for little ones when you are on the go. They come in 4 different veggies green beans, peas, carrots, and corn. Karsee being the independent type he is loves these things because he can feed himself.

The only place I have found this item is Walmart in the canned goods.

Wednesday Preschool Book Review - It's Potty Time

Warning : This post today does contain toilet talk.

This is a great book to introduce potty training to your child. The flushing sound button helped Kaden with his fear of the toilet flushing.
I can say it helped in the potty training process but it did not make the potty training process fast.

Fortune Cookies

I cheated last night for dinner. After our busy weekend I was so tired. Tim was at a late meeting and Kaden is not feeling well. I went to the kitchen to start dinner and I only had half the ingredients. I ordered some Chinese. It was so good and I did not feel bad about it at all. My boys are good eaters and both love fried rice.

A thing we do here at the Gabbard house is read our fortune cookies together. Here are my favorites.

1. Mine ------ Under promise and over deliver.

2. Kaden's --- Do not worry about holding a high position; worry rather about playing your proper role.

I think both would be great sermons.

Trunk or Treat

Last night was the end of our busy busy weekend. The church where Kaden goes to school was doing a trunk or treat.

Kaden had fun playing the games and going on all the jump houses and slides. On the last one he asked if I could take a video of him.

Hawg Fest

My family invited me to a Hawg Fest on Saturday. Not my cup of tea but I enjoyed seeing my family.

A few hours after we got there my Grandma was not feeling well and had to be rushed to the hospital. She is feeling better and resting at home.

My Little Superhero's

Karsee's Costume came in the other day so here is what the boys will be this year.

Batman and Robin

(or as Kaden calls him John Steven)

Good Find Friday - Kiddopotamus Portable Place Mat

A few months ago I went on a search for those baby disposable placemats that I used to buy when Kaden was little and I found this.
Kiddopotamus Portable Place Mat
This was a great investment. Suction cups keep this table topper in place on most tables. Includes a scoop to catch the mess.

It is also a good space saver. Just fold in the sides, roll it up and tuck into the scoop.

I paid around $9.00 for it. It can be found on the Toysrus, Target, and Walmart Websites. Comes in 4 cute colors blue, green, pink and yellow.

Easy Breezy Recipe #4

Cheesy Chicken Enchilada's

- 8oz. sour cream
- 1 can of Rotel
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 small can of green chilli's
- shredded colby and monterrey jack cheese
- flour tortillas
- chicken - (cooked and shredded)
- onion (I buy frozen chopped onions)
Tip: To make this recipe easier I boil the chicken a day or two before and put it in the freezer or refrigerate it.
1. Saute chicken and onion in butter till onions are soft. I sprinkle garlic powder on the chicken but it is optional.
2. Mix all ingredients together. Roll in a tortilla and top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese bubbles.
This recipe is so good and really easy. It also goes a longway. It gives us enough for some leftovers or will feed a large family.

Nursery Workday Days

Now that our rooms our repaired after some damage earlier this year I decided to roll up my sleeves this week and start organizing and going through everything.

Yesterday Karson took a 3 hour nap at the church and Kaden kept himself busy playing with everything I took out of the cabnets so I had a chance to put a big dent in it.

This morning after I dropped Kaden off at school I headed back up to church to work some more. Karson is a good baby. He loves his freedom to explore. He ate breakfast and then played for a while and took another long nap.

Karson was pulling up this morning I had to get a picture.

Here is a before and after picture of our front/ drop off room. It isn't finished but I am excited about the progress.

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend was the first time I really felt like doing some fall stuff. Kaden's school was supporting a Pumpkin Patch so I took the boys this afternoon to get some fall pictures.

They had some great picture places set up but the boys were tired and the sun was in their face so this is what I got.

Tonight we painted the pumpkins and decorated for fall.

Thank you Grannie for the pumpkins.

Grannies Barnyard

This morning before we left Grannie took Kaden and Karson to see the animals. I am glad I had my camera. Today was Kaden and Karsons first time to ride the horses. Grannie has some sweet animals that are great with the kids.

The Fair

It had been two years since we had been to the fair. I was really excited this year because Kaden is old enough to enjoy everything.

My favorite parts of the day.

1. Our Fletcher corny dog lunch. Kaden ate one all by himself. I was proud.

2. The car show.
I think Kaden tried out 50 or more cars.

3. The midway. Kaden played a few games. (Thank you Julie for letting us know about the games for the kids.)

4. Hands on the farm. --- This was Kaden's favorite part of the fair.

5. The free ice cream.

6. Big Tex
All Kaden talked about was seeing Big Tex and when we got there he took a quick look and was ready to go. I think he was not expecting him to be that big.

7. The Children's Hospital Petting Zoo

Kaden enjoyed spending some time with Papa at the fair too.
